Mental Edge [Ep 3] – Mindful Horsemanship
Written by Dr. Jill Wierzba on March 5, 2019
Welcome to Mental Edge. This new series is about building and maintaining mental toughness. Mentally tough riders know how to think, what to think, and how to focus when times get tough. They are clutch performers when everyone else chokes. They know that their mind is as much a piece of their performance as their body, their equipment, and their team. Your mind is an indispensable, critical component to being the best, version of yourself. Train your mind. How do you do that? Listen in.
This webinar discusses mindful horsemanship.
Dr. Jill Wierzba has a doctorate in kinesiology – the study of human movement and performance, and a masters degree in sport psychology – the science and application of mental toughness. She has been professionally practicing helping athletes and performers of all types for the last 10 years – but her passion is equestrian sport.
In this webinar, you will learn to use mindfulness techniques to focus attention, stay in the present moment, manage your nerves, and ride at your best.
The audio of this webinar is also available on SoundCloud and iTunes. Our broadcasting app will be available later this year!
